More Than Cling, Clang, Clong

The gamelan played in Suriname and the Netherlands is unique. The instrument was not brought over from Indonesia, but instead recreated by the first generation of Javanese people in Suriname. The origin story and the experiences of both practitioners and makers are documented in this film.
